You don’t have to go through this alone

Divorce Support Group

Meets weekly | $70 per session

Confidential divorce support groups for women+ who are contemplating divorce or who are navigating the process of divorce. Group members may be living with a spouse, separated or already legally divorced, with or without children, straight or LGBTQ+.

SCHEDULE

Tuesday 10:45am-noon, Brookline

Wednesday 6:00pm-7:15pm, Arlington

Friday 11am-12:15pm, Arlington

Two individual sessions are required before joining the group. Please contact me to schedule a 15 minute phone call to see if the group is a good match for you.

  • If you’re considering divorce, you may feel a range of emotions: confused, sad, betrayed, bewildered, angry, overwhelmed or scared—whatever you’re feeling, you can benefit from talking to others who are going through a similar process. Many of the members of my groups are parents who are concerned with the wellbeing of their children and want to help them through the divorce.

People going through divorce often find that spending so much energy on a spouse, children and/or work leaves them little time to focus on themselves. Group therapy offers them a unique opportunity to talk with other members about what they need and want, now and in the future.

Interpersonal Group for Women+

Meets weekly | $70 per session

Sometimes depression and anxiety can prevent women+ from having the kind of relationships they want most. Group therapy offers an opportunity to come together to talk about what is most important and to learn with and from other people. This therapy group also provides a setting in which members can take interpersonal risks in a safe, therapeutic environment and receive feedback in a constructive way, thereby deepening connections with others.

SCHEDULE

Thursday 5:20pm-6:35pm, Brookline

Two individual sessions are required before joining this group. Contact me to book a consultation to get started.

  • For women between the ages of 28 and 50. Group members are professionally employed women who seek to deepen their connections with others, develop a better understanding of themselves and their interpersonal patterns, and gain a greater sense of satisfaction in work, love, and friendships.

Individual Therapy

My Individual therapy practice is full right now. Feel free to check back here in a few months if you’re still looking. In the meantime, try the Therapist Finder on Psychology Today.

I work with clients in individual therapy on a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, sexuality, divorce, step-parenting, trauma, loss and grief. Through exploration and collaboration, I help clients gain more clarity, become more connected, and feel greater satisfaction with their lives.

If you choose to work with me, I want you to feel safe enough to be fully seen and heard and challenged enough to look at old patterns which may be preventing you from living the life you want. Together, let’s figure out how to let go of patterns that no longer serve you and amplify the ones that make you feel more alive, connected and empowered. My style is warm, honest, and engaging with a good dose of humor at just the right times.

Rates

My fee is $250 for a 50 minute individual therapy session. I am an out of network provider for most insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, POS and Indemnity Plans, HPHC and Tufts PPO and POS Plans, and Cigna and Aetna plans with out of network benefits. I am happy to provide you with a bill with the appropriate codes that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Divorce Support Group Testimonials

As a socially anxious person, I wasn't sure a group would be right for me, but Oona created a welcoming and safe environment. Oona compassionately guided our group, always knowing when to offer gentle support and guidance. Over time, I gained strength from my fellow group members who were all open, generous, and kind. With Oona's help, I have come out on the other side of my divorce feeling strong and capable.

As a non-binary queer person, I'm deeply grateful to Oona for creating such a safe and welcoming space where I could be myself and trust that I would be honored and respected. Oona listens deeply, offers valuable insight, and ensures that each person gets the care and support they deserve.  I can't recommend this group highly enough—it was truly my life raft through the stormiest time in my life.

When I was going through a very traumatic and painful divorce, I felt so broken and desperate. When I first came to the group, I was so filled with grief and shame that I just cried throughout the entire session.  But I kept coming back and grew to depend on the group in such a deep and meaningful way. This group truly saved my life.”

Oona's divorce support group was a godsend. It was wonderful to connect with like-minded women going through a similar situation. Oona was a supportive and thoughtful facilitator and we all benefited from sharing resources and experiences with one another.
